MEET THE TEAM

With a combined 75 years grow experience, the Fatböl Farms team takes the art of cannabis to a whole new level. Focusing on processing from harvest to market ready product, we take the headache out of harvest.

Chris Noonan

Accomplished musician and producer, Chris Noonan helped establish Fatbol Clothing in 2007 with Brian Swislow. Established with the desire to extend Humboldt music, art, and culture beyond the Redwood Curtain, the company’s mission of “artists supporting artists” has led to a vast nationwide network of artists, musicians, performers of all kinds, as well as businesses. Chris is the CEO of the company which led to the opening of their flagship brick and mortar store in Arcata. They have become a staple of the community, providing high quality clothing, as well as printing, plus an array of merchandising services. His 24 years in Humboldt have provided a long, trusted list of cannabis industry masters of the highest level in the region. Chris’ over 15 years as a medicinal indoor grower has garnered him many years of knowledge and experience in the greater cannabis market. From concept to fruition, Chris has worked in every position and is an expert grower with knowledge and connection to the plant. He has also managed multiple craft grows in production and related to the packaging and processing of cannabis.

Grow Experience: Starting with a 3 Light octagon in 2000, Chris's Medical Marijuana cultivation experience quickly grew to 10 Lights in a garage to 20 Lights in a warehouse Until he was running multiple facilities the largest of which had 80 Lights on a 12/12 flip and was producing over 100 lbs. of designer flower per month. Having run systems in soil, Hydro, Coconut husk, and everything from top water, flood and drain, to drip, Chris has the hands-on experience necessary to navigate through any problem.

Brian Swislow

Brian has been a part of the cannabis industry in Humboldt County, California since leaving Chicago 22 years ago. He has over 10 years of onsite Northern California farm experience and has done everything, from farm hand to lead grower. Brian has also worked in facilities with roles including quality control, and as Manager of Production related to the jarring and processing of cannabis. Not only has Brian worked in the cannabis industry, he has also worked relentlessly to promote cannabis culture. It began when he played a significant role in the spawning of Humboldt Hip Hop, a genre of music dedicated to the counterculture lifestyle, and developed into linking cannabis to music through clothing and art. Brian’s Humboldt based clothing brand, Fatbol, was established over 20 years ago with a couple of friends and a few laughs. In 2007, he and musical cohort Chris Noonan teamed up to bring Fatbol Clothing to life, and as brand champion, Brian has been instrumental in Fatbol becoming nationally recognized while continuously evolving as a staple in Humboldt County, California.

Grow Experience:  In 1999, Brian grew his first plants in a small room for his own personal experience. From there, he found jobs as a farm hand, as well as a trimmer. After trimming for 2 growers, he quickly became the onsite manager for both groups, and eventually built his own room that housed 12 lights.  He maintained his own gardens for 9 years while working for others along the way as assistant cultivator, which covers all positions in the garden. In the last 5 years, Brian has been part of a team who has evolved from medical grows to fully permitted garden facilities and is capable of maintaining and overseeing the property.

Kevin Bourque

Having founded the Black Faun art Gallery in 2008, Kevin cut his teeth in business, curating some of the incredible art that has come through Humboldt County, California. This business and networking experience has provided the expertise necessary to be a business leader coupled with his own 10 years as an outdoor and indoor grower under medical cannabis laws.  Kevin's knowledge has allowed him to become one of the most respected growers in the Emerald Triangle.

Grow Experience:   Kevin started cultivating cannabis in Oregon in 2000, with some seeds he bought from a Vancouver seed bank. He stopped to check out “blunt brothers”, the first place in North America where you could openly legally smoke cannabis. Moving to Humboldt County in 2005 for a job building out a series of properties.  Kevin started cultivating large scale outdoor in 2006 and continued through 2013. In 2015 he bought the first of two properties whose purpose was to legally produce commercial cannabis. These two properties have a square footage respectively of 8700 and 22,000 square feet. Both grow facilities are now licensed by the state of California. Kevin also acquired two c2 warehouses, each with cultivation footage over 2000 square feet and on their way through the permitting process to have them begin to produce indoor cannabis commercially.  Kevin has handled all types of outdoor cultivation and cultivated indoor with numerous methods. He is extremely comfortable implementing or learning different systems of nutrients, plant cultivation methods, or mechanical systems associated with indoor or greenhouse horticulture.  He has overseen large propagation nurseries and trim scenes that had to clean over 1000 lbs. of flower at a time. Kevin has built scenes from the ground up having over 5 years’ experience managing commercial grows and over 15 years’ experience managing cannabis grows and nurseries in the informal market.
